Method press and events
It’s fun to work for a start-up. You get to do whatever you want (mostly). Support causes you believe in, send cheeky letters to A-listers, dress in costume for no reason, and write lengthy dissertations about laundry detergent.

While living in London and freelancing for method, I helped the small UK office with their communications, including the method launch in Paris. I wasn’t able to finagle a work trip out of it, but I was able to incorporate things like “chuffed” and “pain au chocolat” into my writing.
(There really is no American equivalent to “chuffed,” by the way. And arugula is “rocket” over there, which is just awesome.)
